Women’s Safety is a critical and multidimensional issue that encompasses social, legal, technological, and infrastructural efforts to ensure that women are protected from violence, harassment, and discrimination—both in public and private spaces.

Key Areas of Focus in Women’s Safety: 

Physical Safety: Protection from harassment, assault, domestic violence, and stalking. Ensuring safe public transport, well-lit streets, and secure workplaces.

Digital Safety: Protection from cyberbullying, revenge porn, online stalking, and deepfakes. Ensuring digital literacy and tools to report abuse.

Legal Support & Rights: Awareness and enforcement of laws like: Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act (India), Title IX (USA), Domestic Violence Acts in various countries and Access to legal aid, counseling, and shelters.

Emergency Services: Quick-response systems like panic buttons, SOS apps, and helplines. Coordination with police, medical services, and NGOs.

Empowerment Through Education: Teaching self-defense, rights education, and confidence-building. Promoting gender sensitization in schools and workplaces.

Urban & Infrastructural Measures
